CTO Systems Architect - Remote

Overview

Bottomline is looking for a CTO Systems Architect to grow with us either remotely or out of our Portsmouth, NH office. The Systems Architect will be responsible for the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant applications and services for Bottomline’s Global Business Solutions.

In Short

• Design and evolve application and systems architectures.
• Ensure applications meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work closely with developers for application resilience.
• Collaborate with various teams for cohesive solutions.
• Mentor and provide leadership to Software Developers.
• Contribute to development with POCs and fault isolation.
• Support standards and technology selections.
• Review ongoing implementations for improvements.
• Participate in architectural design at various levels.

Requirements

• Extensive technical background in Systems and Application architecture.
• Strong background in large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud native technologies (docker, k8s).
• Proven experience with high-availability systems.
• Mastery in service-based and component-based modeling.
• Expert understanding of architectural patterns.
• Experience with IaaS and/or PaaS technologies.
• Knowledge of data enablement and security constructs.
• Fluency in programming in at least two languages.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant fields.
