Senior Systems Administrator - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who will leverage their people skills and technical expertise to enhance technology for the Department of Defense (DoD). The role involves improving and deploying technical platforms and cybersecurity solutions in a classified environment.

In Short

• Install, maintain, audit, and support secure MS Windows network environments.
• Analyze and test new software in test environments before production deployment.
• Administer ACAS scans and report results in weekly vulnerability meetings.
• Verify STIG compliance using automated tools.
• Manage virtual workstations and servers using VMware.
• Guide the team in network monitoring and performance management.
• Evaluate opportunities for network improvements.
• Share expertise through leadership and mentoring.
• Identify new opportunities to modernize network systems.
• Contribute to enhancing the cyber maturity profile of DoD systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a systems administrator, network engineer, or cybersecurity engineer.
• Experience with VMware and managing virtual machines.
• Knowledge of Service Ticketing systems.
• Familiarity with tools like Dell WYSE Management System, Active Directory, SCCM, and SolarWinds.
• Ability to analyze technical documentation.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• HS diploma or GED; Security+ Certification.
• Experience with LogRhythm or JIRA is a plus.
• Knowledge of STIGs and group policies.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
