U.S. Construction Permitting & Coordination Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Permitting & Coordination Specialist to support our U.S.-based construction client. This role is not a general VA position—we are looking for someone with direct experience in permits, government submissions, construction documentation, and regulatory compliance, who can also coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders.

In Short

• Manage the end-to-end permitting process for U.S. residential and outdoor construction projects.
• Prepare, review, and submit complete permit application packages.
• Ensure submissions comply with U.S. municipal codes and regulations.
• Track permits from submission through approval.
• Communicate directly with U.S. municipal departments.
• Work closely with project managers and contractors.
• Provide updates on permit status to stakeholders.
• Maintain organized digital records and checklists.
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
• Assist in standardizing documentation and SOPs.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in permitting or construction administration.
• Experience working with U.S. or international clients.
• Familiarity with U.S. government permitting processes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans.
• Strong document management and tracking skills.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with JobTread or similar tools is a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills.
