Overview

Blue Coding is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to help transform a traditional Network Operations Center into a modern SRE function, focusing on building processes, tools, and mentoring engineers.

In Short

Be the first SRE hire and define reliability practices.
Design and implement SRE best practices and tooling.
Lead the transition from NOC to a reliability team.
Drive improvements in system monitoring and observability.
Automate processes to reduce manual effort.
Establish SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
Collaborate and mentor existing NOC engineers.
Bring a forward-looking mindset to drive change.
Work in a fully remote and culturally diverse environment.
Engage in initiatives like wildlife preservation and local charity work.

Requirements

5+ years in SRE, DevOps, or advanced systems engineering roles.
Experience in building or transforming SRE practices.
Strong AWS expertise and experience with Secrets Management tools.
Hands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Proficiency in Python and/or Ruby.
Expertise in monitoring, observability, and incident response.
Excellent collaboration and mentorship skills.
AWS certifications are preferred.
Experience in insurance or regulated industries is a plus.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
