Senior MDR Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Senior MDR Analyst at Blackpoint Cyber will play a crucial role in analyzing and evaluating network and system events in a dynamic Security Operation Center (SOC) environment, contributing to the cybersecurity landscape through threat hunting and incident analysis.

• Analyze anomalous network and system events in a 24x7x365 SOC environment.
• Collaborate with MDR Analysts on emerging cybersecurity threats.
• Develop incident analysis reports and work across teams.
• Design operational processes to improve SOC efficiency.
• Provide actionable threat and vulnerability analysis.
• Build test lab environments for research.
• Review sandbox technologies for additional indicators of compromise.

Requirements

• 5+ years in an information security role.
• Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC).
• 2+ years triaging endpoint events from EDR and NGAV.
• Deep knowledge of threat indicators in a Windows environment.
• Understanding of Windows, Linux, or OSX.
• Familiarity with ELK stack and scripting in Powershell, Python, and Go.
• Experience with AWS and Azure/M365 services.
• Ability to perform leadless threat hunting analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
