Overview

Kwaan Bear Technology (KBT) is looking for an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead our Application Development Modernization project, guiding the transformation of legacy systems into modern, agile workflows.

In Short

• Serve as a technical expert on legacy systems and modern programming languages.
• Apply program management controls to track and manage program status.
• Collaborate with teams to develop a phased roadmap for modernization.
• Work in an agile/scrum environment, contributing to sprint planning.
• Partner with stakeholders to assess existing systems and identify modernization areas.
• Drive technical planning and documentation efforts.
• Lead and mentor development teams on best practices.
• Establish key performance metrics for modernization efforts.
• Act as the primary technical escalation point for legacy application issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in application development with legacy systems.
• Strong knowledge of IBM mainframe environments and modernization techniques.
• Proven success in agile/scrum environments.
• Experience with project/program management.
• Ability to guide cross-functional teams and mentor others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
