Overview

The Global Medical Lead is a critical leadership role in Global Medical Affairs, focusing on global activities for BioMarin's LSD portfolio, ensuring the execution of the Global Medical Plan and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

  • Lead development and execution of Global Medical Plan.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in medical and clinical teams.
  • Act as product and disease area expert for global issues.
  • Develop Medical Affairs launch strategy and roadmap.
  • Represent Medical Affairs in regulatory document development.
  • Lead Integrated Evidence Team for therapeutic area.
  • Provide medical input into Clinical Development Plans.
  • Guide development of Medical Engagement strategy.
  • Support internal training in collaboration with Learning and Development.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • MD, PhD, PharmD or other advanced life sciences degree required.
  • 7+ years of experience in Medical Affairs and Clinical Development.
  • Experience in LSDs or inherited metabolic conditions preferred.
  • Ability to influence across regions and teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and enterprise mindset.
  • US and international experience in specialty markets.
  • Knowledge of GCP guidelines and clinical trial experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • English proficiency required.
