Senior Data Engineer - Remote

The Bikeleasing Group has grown into a leading corporate group for employer benefits and mobility solutions. It consists of five specialized companies, including multi-benefit providers, leasing and insurance service providers, and retailers for refurbished bikes. With our continuous profitable growth and expansion, we are on an exciting technical transformation journey. To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as a Senior Data Engineer. In this role, you will build all necessary pipelines and ensure the availability of data. You will also play a key role in setting up the system architecture, evaluating and selecting the best technologies and tools.

In Short

• You will be jointly responsible for building our scalable data platform, which ranks among the best in its class in terms of performance, flexibility, and reliability, and is designed to meet the company’s long-term needs.
• To achieve this, you will design and maintain the data architecture, including data models, integrations, and schemas.
• You will manage both new and existing ELT processes independently, taking care of monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization. In case of delays or issues, you proactively communicate with our end users.
• You proactively monitor the performance of the data infrastructure, resolve issues, and ensure effective communication with the users of our data products.
• You share your knowledge with colleagues and independently document your work and our processes.

Requirements

• You have at least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• You have hands-on experience with data system architecture, (cloud) data warehouses (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or similar), and ELT processes.
• You are proficient in Python and SQL and have solid knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS) and related services.
• Experience with transformation tools (e.g., dbt) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow) is a strong plus.
• You communicate effectively in English and have the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
