Senior Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

The ICF Senior Data Engineer will support ICF’s Health Engineering Solutions (HES) team in advancing key strategic initiatives for our CMS client. This role is instrumental in transforming complex data ecosystems into actionable insights that drive innovation, integration, and operational efficiency across content and data initiatives.

In Short

• Rapidly analyze and synthesize large-scale structured and unstructured datasets using AI tools, low-code platforms, and custom code.
• Design and implement data topologies and knowledge graphs mapping relationships and dependencies across data sources.
• Perform data acquisition through web scraping, API integration, and ingestion of external knowledge bases.
• Identify patterns and redundancies across datasets to support data harmonization.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows for analytics and machine learning.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate business questions into data-driven solutions.
• Ensure data quality and governance across all stages of the data lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• 3+ years of experience with Python.
• 1 year of experience with AI/ML tools and platforms.
• 1 year of experience with low-code/no-code platforms.
• 1 year of experience with knowledge graph construction and graph databases.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
