General Ledger Accountant - Remote

Overview

The General Ledger Accountant will be a key participant in the accounting process, completing assigned tasks/projects, and preparing reports for management while working remotely during standard US Pacific Time business hours.

In Short

• Perform all accounting tasks for assigned properties, including bank reconciliation and mortgage payments.
• Assist in the monthly closing of the accounting books.
• Handle annual/seasonal CAM reconciliation and tenant inquiries.
• Review bank reconciliations prepared by team members.
• Open new bank accounts as needed for property acquisitions.
• Prepare reports for management as assigned.
• Complete additional projects as assigned by accounting management.

Requirements

• Accounting degree and CPA license required.
• Cum laude or better graduate from university.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in accounting for real estate is a plus.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication skills with all organizational levels.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic and team player mentality.
• Yardi experience preferred.
