• We’re looking for a talented and experienced Engineer to join a high-performing team focused on advancing search infrastructure and capabilities.
• Develop and enhance high-performance backend systems for search.
• Lead initiatives to modernize traditional keyword-based search.
• Build scalable data pipelines to process and enrich catalog data.
• Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and observability of search APIs and services.
• Drive continuous improvement through A/B testing and evaluation of search quality.
• Take part in architectural decisions, mentor team members.
• Stay up to date with advancements in search, ML, and recommendation systems.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing and deploying large-scale distributed backend systems.
• Proficient with big data technologies such as Apache Beam, Google Pub/Sub, and Redis.
• Strong coding skills in Python and JavaScript/Node.js.
• Experience working with ElasticSearch or similar search platforms.
• Comfortable with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficient in API development using REST and GraphQL.
• Familiar with modern cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
