Overview

The Industrial Engineering - Trainee manages manufacturing resources applied to objectives of one or more manufacturing sections or shift(s) while assisting in continuous improvement projects.

In Short

• Develop strategies to improve manufacturing and reduce scrap.
• Monitor Manufacturing Procedures and make changes as required.
• Install new equipment or technology to improve efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement and 5'S of the area.
• Assist in the analysis of production and product performance.
• Responsible for completing specific tasks of the assigned project.
• Support equipment calibrations by generating required documentation.
• Train personnel in pilot or special validation runs.
• Work with External Engineering Companies on machinery specifications.
• May be required to work any shift.

Requirements

• Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering background.
• Experience in previous internships or Manufacturing Engineering department.
• Knowledge of statistics and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD LT.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work in a Windows environment.
• Quick learning and initiative-taking.
• Multifunctional with knowledge of deadlines.
