Senior ML Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior ML Engineer, you will develop systems that utilize data streams to control buildings autonomously and in real-time, enhancing comfort and reducing emissions.

In Short

• Develop and operate robust observable ML systems based on building sensor data.
• Build scalable ML infrastructure for processing heterogeneous, event-based building data.
• Design and implement modern ML pipelines optimized for cloud and edge environments.
• Work on system modeling, predictions, user behavior, recommendation systems, and anomalies.
• Create data-driven control strategies.
• Integrate closely with software and DevOps teams for real-time ML functionality.
• Own the complete ML lifecycle from data collection to model deployment.
• Advance the platform with new tools and internal best practices.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in ML development with proven success in building scalable infrastructure.
• Proficient in ML workflows and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and real-time ML model deployment.
• Deep understanding of modern ML frameworks in Python (e.g., PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Strong algorithmic skills with a focus on performance optimization.
• German language skills at least at B2 level.
• Self-organized working style with a hands-on mentality.
• Experience in building automation/IoT, reinforcement learning, or Rust is a plus.
