Overview

The Principal Planning Policy Officer will play a key role in shaping the communities of Babergh and Mid Suffolk by working on various planning policy matters and supporting the development of the Local Plan.

Requirements

  • Degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Significant experience in spatial planning policy.
  • Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Local Government practices.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and present information clearly.
  • Experience managing external consultants.
  • Good IT skills, especially with Microsoft products.
  • Motivated and strategic-minded individual.
  • Ability to engage with diverse audiences.
