Overview

As a Cloud Engineer within a fast-paced high traffic environment, you will be playing a pivotal role at supporting and enhancing cloud infrastructures for many development teams tackling intricate challenges with cutting-edge technologies.

In Short

• Enhance and maintain numerous systems across various cloud environments, each handling millions of daily requests.
• Work closely with developers to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient delivery of high-quality services.
• Help solve complex technical problems for multiple stacks and environments.
• Architect and plan improvements of a multi-cloud environment.
• Participate in design decisions, including new technology research and prototyping.
• Advocate and help development teams to migrate their services to more automated and elastic infrastructures.
• Document processes and monitor performance metrics for all our environments and services.
• Promote and implement proper CICD strategies and practices.
• Support and augment the coverage of our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) setup.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of experience working as DevOps, Cloud Engineer or Architect with Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services and Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering an asset.
• Solid experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes.
• Understanding of scalability patterns applied to infrastructure architecture for high traffic systems.
• Able and willing to help developers debugging intricate issues.
• Not afraid of the command line, scripting and configuring applications such as Web Server, Load Balancers, etc.
• Able to read and debug code whatever the language is.
• Good understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery models and best practices.
• Proficiency with IaC tooling like Knowledge of Terraform.
• Knowledge of monitoring processes and tools.
• Self-sufficient, excellent communication and great time management skills.
• A love for making things efficient and reliable.
