Senior Cloud Network Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within the Cloud Networking team, driving the development and optimization of cutting-edge networking solutions for our cloud infrastructure and PaaS, IaaS, SaaS applications, environments, and integrations. In this role, you will lead innovative network designs, act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for multiple cloud technologies, and provide mentorship to team members, ensuring technical excellence and collaboration.

In Short

• Design and implement scalable network components across public cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Enhance the security posture of multi-cloud environments, implementing advanced solutions to safeguard data and operations.
• Collaborate with security operations and architecture to address network security gaps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement seamless integrations across PaaS, IaaS, and SaaS environments.
• Mentor and support team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth within the Cloud Networking team.
• Monitor and manage Avid's multi-cloud networking environments, driving incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution to enhance system reliability.
• Lead enterprise networking efforts for routing/peering connectivity, SD-WAN, firewalls, load balancers, and all other critical infrastructure components.
• Support Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) initiatives, fostering cloud adoption and alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for cloud networking services, M&A integrations/migration projects, streamlining onboarding and operational efficiency.
• Implement networking best practices to optimize and simplify cloud platforms, achieving significant cost savings and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of proven expertise in cloud networking technologies and infrastructure design within Azure, AWS, or similar public clouds.
• Strong background in designing and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performing network solutions.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality results.
• Experience mentoring team members and leading by example to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming technical challenges.
• Experience in managing Firewall and Load Balancer solutions.
• Dependable, motivated, and adaptable engineer.
• Project Management Skills, including managing complex projects.
• Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to multitask and conquer changing business priorities.
