Overview

The Senior Design Engineer plays a crucial role in providing presales support and project engineering, ensuring effective communication and technical consulting to enhance system designs and project proposals.

In Short

• Provide presales technical consulting and support.
• Translate customer requirements into functional system designs.
• Review pre-construction design and documentation.
• Identify cabling and material needs for projects.
• Support Account Managers with project estimates.
• Assume ownership of project installations as needed.
• Develop engineering drawings and perform calculations.
• Provide ongoing engineering support for project sign-off.
• Collaborate with vendors for product evaluation.
• Review and validate work of junior engineers.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven business writing skills.
• Experience with test and calibration equipment.
• Support for user acceptance testing.
• Programming and troubleshooting skills for AV systems.
• Advanced computer skills for design and configuration.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
