Revenue Cycle Specialist - Remote

Overview

As a Revenue Cycle Specialist at Author Health, you will be responsible for managing revenue cycle tasks to improve cash flow and meet the goals of the practice, while ensuring outstanding care for seniors battling serious mental illnesses and substance use disorders.

In Short

• Responsible for revenue cycle management tasks including manual charge entry and claims submission.
• Perform A/R follow-up and file appeals/disputes.
• Complete medical records requests from payers.
• Post payments and manage collections.
• Build relationships with partners on coding and revenue cycle tasks.
• Review coded visit notes and submission to the PMS.
• Monitor pre- and post-payment medical records requests.
• Act as the subject matter expert for coding, billing, and collections processes.

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of medical billing, collections, and revenue cycle.
• Well versed in CPT and ICD10 codes, HIPAA, and billing regulations.
• Proficient with EMR software, Excel, and clearinghouse portals.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional billing experience.
• Experience with claims processing from charge entry to payment closure.
• Ability to deal with patients and staff with tact and diplomacy.
