Overview

The role of the Global Risk Review Team (GRRT) Manager/Senior Manager is a business critical position within the Novartis Animal Welfare & Integrity Assurance function responsible for leading the review body that provides ethical oversight of outsourced in vivo activities sponsored by Novartis.

• Lead the Global Risk Review Team (GRRT) for ethical oversight of animal activities.

• Manage day-to-day operations of oversight programs related to in vivo engagements.

• Act as lead AW risk assessor for the EPRM system.
• Develop and deliver training programs on animal welfare processes.
• Interface with key stakeholders and manage relationships.
• Utilize technologies like AI for program management.
• Travel required: 5-10% for meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Passion for animal welfare and understanding of the 3Rs.
• Direct in vivo experience with large animal species desirable.
• Strong knowledge of animal welfare regulations.
• Experience in vendor due diligence assessments.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, Jira, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
• Change management expertise.
• Proven ability to impact project goals positively.
