• Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Responsible for Turbine Island design development activities.
• Ensure supplier deliverables meet requirements by critically assessing designs.
• Create and review Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and Layout Drawings.
• Lead and review optioneering studies and Decision Record Files.
• Develop and review Functional and Design Requirements using Systems Engineering principles.
• Serve as the technical contact for Turbine Island interfaces.
• Participate in Design Reviews and HAZID/HAZOP studies.
• Work with the safety team on nuclear safety licensing and environmental planning.
• Adhere to statutory H&S policies and project quality standards.

Requirements

• Previous work in nuclear, thermal power, oil and gas, or other regulated sectors.
• Strong background in thermal power systems from FEED to detailed design.
• Skilled in developing procurement specifications.
• Extensive technical experience in thermal power or similar projects.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
• Capable of managing critical interfaces on major projects.
• Proficient in UK Health and Safety regulations and engineering standards.
• Knowledgeable in ASME, European, and UK codes and standards.
• Experience or awareness in Systems Engineering is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in engineering.
