Overview

We seek a highly skilled Language Manager for Japanese to ensure the highest linguistic quality and consistency across all projects in Japanese, contributing directly to the success and scalability of our language services.

In Short

• Manage and support a team of freelance and in-house Japanese linguists.
• Develop and maintain linguistic assets such as style guides and glossaries.
• Ensure quality and consistency of localized content through review processes.
• Collaborate with project managers on timelines and resource allocation.
• Provide linguistic feedback to stakeholders.
• Address escalations related to linguistic quality.
• Contribute translation work when needed.
• Recruit and onboard new linguistic resources.
• Evaluate translation tests for prospective linguists.
• Participate in testing and adopting new tools and workflows.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Japanese and excellent command of English.
• Strong background in translation, editing, and quality management.
• Proficiency in CAT tools and translation management systems.
• Experience managing linguistic resources.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally.
• Familiarity with localization workflows.
