Finance Analyst (Reinsurance Accountant) - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant will perform all aspects of reinsurance accounting at an industry-leading Property & Casualty insurance carrier, focusing on partnering with Reinsurers, MGAs/Program Administrators, and Insurtechs.

In Short

• Shift assignment: Night Shift
• Perform payments of deposit premium for XOL treaties
• Conduct quarterly financial ceded premium on XOL treaties
• Handle XOL treaty True-up calculations
• Manage GL reconciliation for quarterly close
• Review QS accounts and apply cash call credits
• Assist with collateral review and requests
• Maintain LOC with increases and decreases
• Collaborate with stakeholders for new reinsurance treaty setups
• Perform facultative loss calculations for financial closings

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in insurance/reinsurance accounting
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot, v-lookups)
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analysis
• Desire to pursue innovation and improvement
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
