Senior Finance Analyst (Accountant) - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant will prepare workpapers, journal entries, and reconciliations for selected programs, ensuring accuracy and ownership over the economics for their select programs.

• Assignment: Night Shift
• Prepare workpapers, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
• Monitor program economics including monthly entries and reconciliations.
• Provide technical support to Finance Teams.
• Support quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Provide leadership for quality and accuracy.
• Help with ad-hoc projects as required.
• Knowledge in insurance accounting (5+ years) is essential.
• Flexibility with schedule is required.

Requirements

• Exposure to US GAAP.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and initiative.
• Technical knowledge of reinsurance terms and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly.
• Knowledge in P&C insurance and Sarbanes-Oxley is a plus.
• BS in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or related discipline.
