Overview

The Associate Director of Medical Affairs, Ophthalmology is a key member of the medical affairs team who will work closely with medical affairs and cross-functional stakeholders to implement key aspects of the US strategy for ophthalmology.

In Short

  • Support implementation of US medical affairs strategy for pegcetacoplan in GA.
  • Lead US focused real-world evidence generation initiatives.
  • Assist in implementation of insight gathering, congress planning, and KOL engagement.
  • Collaborate with Field Medical & Global Medical Affairs Strategy.
  • Serve as a medical reviewer on commercial and medical product review committees.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders in the Retina/ophthalmology community.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on data and communication gaps.
  • Serve as a strategic/scientific resource to cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Must have a PhD, Pharm D or MD level degree or equivalent.
  • 5 years + experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology medical affairs organization.
  • Experience in Retina/ophthalmology therapeutic area strongly preferred.
  • Agency management experience preferred.
  • Significant experience across drug development stages.
