Associate in Business Accounting - Remote

Overview

The Business Accounting Department of one of the fastest-growing accounting firms in the country is seeking an Associate who is motivated to learn, excited to collaborate and passionate about delivering outstanding results. This individual will have a direct impact on our firm’s mission of serving as a catalyst for those striving to achieve their highest potential.

In Short

• Prepare and assist clients with monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare and assist clients with journal entries and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare clients year end trial balances
• Preparation of compiled financial statements and budgeting reports
• Maintain fixed asset schedules
• Maintain the chart of accounts
• Preparation of client sales tax returns
• Preparation of client payroll tax returns, quarterly and year end
• Preparation of client annual 1099 informational returns
• Provide tax compliance and consulting services to individuals, partnerships and corporations

Requirements

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong client service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong organization skills
• Detail-oriented
• QuickBooks or QuickBooks Online skills
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, & Outlook
• Familiarity with cloud-based software application
• Bachelors degree in Accounting required
• 1+ years relevant experience
