Overview

Ancestry is seeking a passionate Software Engineer Co-Op for their Observability team to build and maintain observability tools that enhance customer experience by monitoring site performance and resolving incidents.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Solid knowledge of Python or Golang.
  • Experience in software engineering with observability focus.
  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud and containerization technologies.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Basic exposure to APM tools like Datadog or New Relic.
  • Nice to have open-source contributions in observability frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
