Overview

As a Release Train Engineer at Amgen, you will lead and coach teams in delivering value through agile frameworks, facilitating communication and collaboration, and driving continuous improvement within the organization.

In Short

  • Lead and manage product delivery using agile frameworks.
  • Facilitate agile events including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Advise on SAFe events such as PI Planning and Scrum of Scrums.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements.
  • Help scrum teams achieve delivery acceleration focused on business outcomes.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of teams and ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within teams.
  • Manage risks and dependencies across teams.
  • Provide guidance to RTEs, Scrum Masters, and Product Management teams.
  • Support the Lean-Agile transformation within the organization.

Requirements

  • Doctorate or Master’s degree with relevant experience in Computer Science or related field.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SAFe.
  • Experience with Agile project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Good-to-have: Understanding of DevOps and Test Automation processes.
  • Professional certifications in Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Team-oriented with a focus on achieving goals.
