Director, Clinical Data Management - Remote

Overview

The Amgen Global Clinical Data Management team is seeking an experienced Director to lead data management efforts aimed at optimizing clinical evidence platforms for innovative medicines.

In Short

• Lead and manage Data Management teams within a specific operational unit.
• Accountable for building a high-performing internal data management team.
• Ensure operational excellence in clinical trial execution.
• Develop and implement GSO & DM strategies.
• Oversee relationships with Functional Service Providers (FSP).
• Define and maintain Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
• Manage global resources and budget for the function.
• Respond to audit/inspection findings.
• Ensure compliance with all data management processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to influence decisions.

Requirements

• 18 to 23 years of data management experience.
• Master’s degree in life sciences, computer science, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in data management in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech sector.
• 8+ years of leadership experience in a rare disease therapeutic area.
• Experience managing external vendors (CROs, labs, etc.).
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills.
• Proven experience in oversight of clinical research suppliers.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to anticipate and solve challenging issues.
• Experience in a global, matrix organization.
