Senior Bioinformatician - Remote

Overview

The Senior Bioinformatician will lead the development, validation, implementation, and maintenance of bioinformatics pipelines and data analysis workflows for clinical molecular diagnostics, ensuring compliance with UNE-EN ISO 15189 requirements.

• Design and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for variant detection.

• Oversee integration of LIMS with bioinformatics workflows.
• Contribute to research and performance evaluation of new technologies.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in clinical bioinformatics.
• Strong knowledge of NGS data analysis.
• Familiarity with UNE-EN ISO 15189.
• Experience with pipeline development tools.
• Proficiency in Python, R, and Bash.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks like GDPR and HIPAA.
• Experience in software documentation and validation protocols.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Independence in daily tasks is required.
