Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

Alpha Lion is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be an integral part of a growing finance team to bolster processes and improve financial reporting. The finance team is responsible for accurate accounting and reporting for the company, on a weekly and monthly basis. In this role, you will be responsible for processing daily transactions, completing month end closing tasks, and analyzing financial statements. Additionally, this role will also be essential in implementing and improving processes in the finance team.

In Short

• Day-to-day accounting processes, including transaction coding, accounts payable and receivable processes, and responding to team member and vendor inquiries
• Maintain month-end close schedules and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Create and update company processes for improved efficiency
• Provide support in tax administration, such as verifying accuracy of tax filings
• Assist in managing data connections to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or any related field
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience
• Proficient in NetSuite
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing and financial analysis
• Ability to work as part of an international team and independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with e-commerce or retail companies preferred
