AML Compliance Analyst - Remote

Overview

Join Alpaca Securities’ dynamic and fully remote Compliance team dedicated to safeguarding the integrity of the financial markets. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the firm’s BSA/AML, Anti-Fraud, and Securities Fraud Monitoring programs.

In Short

• Collaborate with the AMLCO to implement and refine investigative procedures.
• Conduct in-depth investigations into potentially suspicious activity.
• Prepare, document, and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
• Review and respond to sanctions screening alerts.
• Maintain and continuously update firm-wide risk assessments.
• Partner with internal stakeholders during audits and regulatory engagements.
• Provide guidance across various business units for compliance alignment.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry best practices.
• Support the development of compliance policies and reporting mechanisms.
• Lead and contribute to special projects and prepare reports for stakeholders.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in financial crime investigations.
• Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements.
• Ability to identify and escalate potential market manipulation.
• Proficiency in transaction monitoring systems.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and SAR-writing skills.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Google Sheets or MS Excel.
• Working knowledge of domestic and international payment systems.
