Director of Employment (Legal Counsel) - Remote

Overview

Alo Yoga and BELLA+CANVAS are seeking a highly experienced California-based employment attorney to support our employment counseling, contract, and policy needs as we expand in the U.S. and internationally. This position is a hybrid remote/in-office role and candidates will be expected to work at the companies’ headquarters in Beverly Hills a minimum of three (3) days a week.

• Oversee all aspects of employment law, policy, and compliance.
• Advise on US and international employment matters.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Draft employment-related agreements and policies.
• Conduct training sessions on legal matters.
• Collaborate with HR and management on employment-related issues.
• Support company growth and expansion into new markets.
• Conduct audits of employment practices.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to HR leadership.
• Mitigate legal risks associated with workforce management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in employment law.
• J.D. from a top tier law school.
• Admission to California bar.
• Strong understanding of US and California employment laws.
• Proven experience with multinational organizations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience advising retail companies is preferred.
