As a Risk Specialist at Alan, you will contribute to the mission of transforming health benefits into a valuable investment for employers while ensuring the health and wellbeing of members across multiple countries.

In Short

  • Provide automated and scalable risk assessment tools.
  • Strengthen and automate Solvency 2 balance sheet and capital requirements projections.
  • Model new risks and propose new risk metrics.
  • Support regulatory quantitative reporting and discussions with supervisors.
  • Manage reinsurance strategy and analyze reporting.
  • Create processes to strengthen team understanding of risk and capital constraints.
  • Assist in hiring new talents for the Insurance and Risk teams.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, designers, engineers, and product managers.
  • Ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Solvency 2 regulatory framework.
  • Fluency in English and written fluency in French.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Programming skills for automation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies.
  • Experience in capital management and risk assessment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Experience in regulatory interactions.
  • Creative problem-solving approaches.
