Senior Engineer – Stability Analysis - Remote

Overview

As a contributing member of the LOCA, Containment & Stability Analysis Team, you will perform safety analysis for plant thermal-hydraulic stability, plant noise, and other analyses supporting reload applications for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plants, including operating and new plants worldwide.

• Perform plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses and noise analyses.
• Engage with interfacing teams for optimal customer solutions.
• Prepare and present technical data to customers.
• Provide technical mentoring and develop training courses.
• Drive process improvements and ensure high-quality work.
• Collaborate on fuel project activities and reload analyses.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and technical personnel.
• Work in compliance with regulatory rules and standards.
• Support emergent fuel issues with safety analysis.
• Utilize programming skills in C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plant T-H Stability Safety Analysis.
• Experience in BWR technology and BWR Stability analysis.
• Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements and operational support.
• Experience with BWR simulator and 3-D neutron kinetics.
• Detail-oriented with a track record of overcoming obstacles.
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and accountability.
• Ph.D. or M.S. Degree in Nuclear Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with T/H systems codes such as TRACG, RELAP, & TRACE.
