Main Component Exchange (MCE) Technician - Remote

Overview

The Main Component Exchange (MCE) Technician will work within the existing team in the safe execution of Main Component Exchange and Uptower Repair work on Wind Turbines across Australia on GE Renewable Energy Onshore Wind Services, as directed by the MCE Lead.

In Short

• Execute MCE work on Wind Turbines across Australia.
• Work in hands-on groups during MCE/UTR execution.
• Inspect major parts for damage and correctness.
• Validate inventory tooling and parts for operations.
• Complete documentation for MCE/UTR execution.
• Report errors and incidents using GE systems.
• Perform high voltage switching operations as required.
• Follow EHS policies and report unsafe conditions.
• Travel nationally or internationally as part of the roster.
• Possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician or Mechanical tradesperson with electrical aptitude.
• Proficient in fault finding electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
• Experience in wind farm operations and maintenance.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Eligibility to work in Australia (Permanent Resident, Citizen, or New Zealand Citizen).
• Ability to travel for work and training.
• Strong communication skills.
• GWO/GWO ART Qualified.
• Dogging/Rigging/Franna Tickets preferred.
• Positive attitude and ability to work at heights.
