Akero Therapeutics is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing transformational treatments for patients with serious metabolic diseases marked by high unmet need. Our current focus is on advancing our lead program efruxifermin (EFX) to provide a powerful new treatment for patients with MASH(metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis).

In Short

• Provide broad scientific input to clinical development and scientific affairs.
• Ensure scientific rigor in clinical trial design and execution.
• Contribute to the creation and review of clinical and regulatory documents.
• Liaise with internal and external partners for study execution.
• Support cross-functional teams and business-critical needs.
• Contribute to publication plans and data disclosures.
• Engage with thought leaders in NASH.
• Contribute to conference planning and presentations.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree in life sciences with 8+ years in clinical research.
• Experience in regulatory filings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and in teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Expertise in scientific literature and data interpretation.
• General familiarity with biostatistics.
• Proficient in standard computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel internationally.
