Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

Aker Systems is seeking a Data Engineer to assist in the development of a secure batch/real-time data platform for a government client, leveraging the latest commercial and open-source technologies.

In Short

• Code, test, and document new or modified data pipelines.
• Conduct logical and physical database design.
• Expand and grow data platform capabilities.
• Conduct data analysis to identify solutions and enhancements.
• Ensure data models align with data architecture.
• Perform root cause analysis on data and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Data pipeline development experience.
• Agile or rapid application development methods.
• Data modelling and understanding of data structures.
• Experience with Public Cloud services, especially AWS.
• Configuring and tuning Relational and NoSQL databases.
• Programming or scripting languages, such as Python.
• Test Driven Development experience.
