Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

AHEAD is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer with deep expertise in application and cloud security to join our Information Security team. This role is critical in safeguarding our enterprise applications, cloud environments, and customer data.

In Short

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Perform application security assessments, code reviews, and threat modeling.
• Partner with engineering teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate and implement security tools for SAST, DAST, SCA, and container security.
• Lead incident response efforts related to application or cloud-based threats.
• Collaborate with product and development teams for secure design patterns.
• Provide guidance and training on secure coding standards.
• Stay current with evolving threat landscapes and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security with a focus on application and cloud security.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP security architecture.
• Hands-on experience with application security tools.
• Familiarity with container security and Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid understanding of web application vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
• Experience integrating security into DevOps workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Security certifications such as CISSP or AWS Security Specialty.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
