Assistant Global Controller - Remote

Overview

The Assistant Controller will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and optimizing accounting processes within a leading SaaS company.

In Short

• Assist in managing the global month-end and year-end closing process.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC 606, and other accounting standards.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Maintain and improve financial controls and accounting policies.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and investor reports.
• Assist with revenue recognition and subscription-based accounting.
• Work closely with billing and accounting teams for accurate invoicing.
• Support financial planning and analysis by providing accurate data.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
• Assist with audit documentation and internal controls implementation.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in SaaS or tech.
• Knowledge of SaaS financial metrics, GAAP, and ASC 606.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Experience with multi-entity and consolidation accounting.
• Passionate about building scalable processes.
• Intacct software experience preferred.
• Excellent data skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to thrive in a fully remote work environment.
• Strong leadership experience managing successful teams.
