• Counsel Affirm’s Business teams on consumer financial services laws and regulations.
• Support the origination and servicing of loan and payment products.
• Provide strategic advice on EU consumer finance and protection laws.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in consumer lending.
• Draft terms and conditions and review documentation.
• Identify and evaluate business and legal risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in business, government, or fintech.
• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
• Expertise in consumer credit lifecycle and related regulations.
• Combination of private practice and in-house experience preferred.
• Strong project management and analytical skills.
• Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Focus on maintaining trust with cross-functional partners.
• Creative in legal problem-solving.
• Enjoys legal analysis and collaboration.
