Overview

AECOM is seeking a creative, highly talented UXO Technician III for employment on Guam, responsible for the reconnaissance and classification of unexploded ordnance (UXO) and supervising related activities.

In Short

  • Perform reconnaissance and classification of UXO.
  • Supervise excavation and recovery of subsurface UXO.
  • Construct engineering controls.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding UXO.
  • Conduct daily team safety and task hazard analysis briefings.
  • Prepare UXO-related administrative reports.
  • Maintain a daily logbook.
  • Supervise the donning and doffing of PPE.
  • Conduct maintenance and operator checks on team equipment.
  • Disposal of UXO by burning or detonation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma + 4 years of experience.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
  • 8-hour OSHA Supervisor certification.
  • Graduate of a military EOD assistant course or accredited UXO technician training course.
  • 1 year minimum MEC-related experience for military EOD school graduates.
  • 8 years total EOD and MEC experience.
  • Graduate of OSHA-compliant Management and Supervisor Training Course.
