UXO Technician I - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a creative and highly skilled UXO Technician I for remote employment in Texas, focused on performing reconnaissance and classification of unexploded ordnance (UXO).

In Short

• Assist in reconnaissance and classification of UXO.
• Identify various types of military explosives and demolition materials.
• Perform excavation procedures on buried UXO.
• Conduct operator maintenance of magnetometers.
• Locate surface UXO using visual means.
• Transport and store UXO and demolition materials.
• Prepare non-electric and electric firing systems for UXO disposal operations.
• Participate in required training and certification programs.
• Work under close supervision and perform routine tasks.
• Entry-level position with potential for growth.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Current driver’s license required.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Complete a fitness for duty exam.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
• Current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher (if applicable).
• Graduate of military EOD assistant course or accredited UXO technician training course.
• On-the-job training required.
