Overview

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Compliance Auditor to conduct audits in active construction areas, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and commitments.

In Short

  • Conduct environmental compliance audits in construction areas.
  • Review reports, permits, and regulatory documents.
  • Prepare audit findings and coordinate with technical teams.
  • Provide oversight of compliance with environmental commitments.
  • Evaluate regulatory standards for high-speed rail projects.
  • Develop findings and recommendations for compliance.
  • Assist with technical compliance and permit issues.
  • Coordinate the development of written procedures.
  • Work independently and as part of a compliance team.
  • Some travel may be required.

Requirements

  • BA/BS with 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 and environmental management certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in design-build contracting and construction processes.
  • Strong technical reading, writing, and reporting skills.
  • Advanced degree in relevant fields is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CPEA or CHMM are advantageous.
