Overview

The Engineering Manager (Water Design-Build) will lead the performance of Design-Build water and wastewater projects across the United States, utilizing the latest technologies to address critical water supply and infrastructure challenges.

In Short

  • Lead and manage ongoing Design-Build water and wastewater projects.
  • Conduct both conceptual and detailed engineering project management activities.
  • Manage multi-discipline design activities through AECOM’s design centers.
  • Oversee procurement of process equipment and subcontractors.
  • Conduct scheduling and constructability reviews.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on budget and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with engineering and construction teams.
  • Frequent short-term travel may be required.
  • Familiarity with job cost reporting and budget control activities.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial and construction contract experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Sanitary, Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 20+ years’ experience in the water/wastewater industry preferred.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing D/B projects that are $30 Million or more.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage risk.
  • Experience with local and state regulatory agencies.
  • A DBIA certificate is a plus.
