Overview

AECOM is seeking an Electrical CAD/BIM Technician to support the Power Delivery Team, focusing on high and medium voltage projects. The role offers the flexibility to work remotely or from various offices across the U.S.

• Support high and medium voltage projects for municipal and industrial clients.
• Create and maintain electrical design sets using CAD software.
• Produce accurate construction drawings, including plans and schematics.
• Develop and manage 3D models for electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with drafting standards and industry codes.
• Coordinate with engineering staff to resolve design conflicts.
• Assist in quality control through self-checks and peer reviews.
• Provide technical support regarding CAD standards and software.
• Stay updated with new CAD/BIM software features.

Requirements

• High School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in high voltage electrical CAD design.
• Familiarity with National Electric Code and other relevant codes.
• Confidence using Autodesk 2D and 3D platform packages.
• Experience in 3D modeling environments like Revit.
• Ability to work in collaborative model environments.
• Exposure to substation facilities and designs.
