BIM/CAD Technician - Remote

Overview

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM/CAD Technician (Utilities) to join our team! In this role, you will perform basic to moderately-difficult BIM Utilities design/drafting assignments.

In Short

• Collaborate with the BIM Lead and Design Leads for project compliance.
• Assist in developing engineering drawings based on design information.
• Oversee BIM-related activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings for accuracy and compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Create parametric and non-parametric families.
• Apply knowledge of Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for design issues.
• Utilize Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection.
• Extract schedules and quantities from the model.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 5 years of CAD drafting experience in utilities projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with Common Data Environments like ProjectWise and BIM360.
• Good communication skills in English.
