Civil / Structural Engineer III (T&D Focus) - Remote

Overview

AECOM is hiring for a Civil / Structural Engineer with a primary focus on Transmission and Distribution projects to support our growing Energy Business Line. This role offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at various Energy offices across the United States.

In Short

• Work on Transmission and Distribution projects.
• Complete engineering assignments of moderate to advanced complexity.
• Prepare overhead line design using PLS-CADD.
• Design structural components for transmission lines and substations.
• Conduct seismic design for substation assets.
• Maintain positive working relationships with peers.
• Occasional travel required to other locations and client sites.
• Participate in field walks and create field sketches.
• Assist in planning and scheduling engineering tasks.
• Provide technical guidance to a team of engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering.
• 4 years of relevant experience in structural design for electrical substations.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam certificate.
• Preferred 6+ years of experience.
• Professional Engineering license preferred.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and structural analysis software.
• Working knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Experience working with remote teams.
• Knowledge of civil drainage and sitework design.
• Enthusiastic and technically proficient individual.
