Overview

AECOM is hiring for a Civil / Structural Engineer with a primary focus on Transmission and Distribution projects to support our growing Energy Business Line.

In Short

  • Work with a global team to deliver impactful infrastructure projects.
  • Focus on civil and structural engineering services for energy-related projects.

  • Engage in overhead line design and structural design using specialized software.
  • Prepare designs for substations and transmission lines.
  • Participate in field walks and create field sketches.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and maintain positive relationships.
  • Travel may be required to client sites.
  • Contribute to the planning and scheduling of engineering tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Electrical Engineering.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in structural design for electrical substations.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam certificate.
  • Preferred 6+ years of experience and a Professional Engineering license.
  • Experience with PLS-CADD packages and structural analysis software.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
  • Experience with remote teams and EPC projects.
  • Skills in AutoCAD 3D software.
  • Enthusiastic and technically proficient.
  • Ability to assist with proposal support and task estimates.
