Overview

The Pre-Bill Outpatient Coder Specialist is responsible for editing and correcting outpatient coding to ensure accurate claims generation, while maintaining compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

• CCS or CCS-P certification required.
• Completion of a coding certificate program or relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of outpatient coding experience in an acute care setting.
• Experience with 3M OCE report preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes.
• Ability to interpret regulatory and payer rules.
• Proficient in computer systems related to patient accounting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
