Financial Advocate - Remote

Overview

The Financial Advocate is responsible for providing patients with personalized financial estimates based on their insurance coverage, explaining financial responsibilities, and coordinating payment arrangements.

• Calculate personalized financial estimates for patients.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in healthcare or customer service.
• Ability to communicate clearly about customer service issues.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and EMTALA regulations.
• Solid understanding of insurance operations and billing.
• Basic medical coding knowledge.
• Ability to document patient accounts clearly.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Ability to sit for a majority of the workday.
• Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
